EU Aviation Safety Agency Extends Persian Gulf Flight Advisories to September 30

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has announced the extension of its flight safety advisory for the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman regions until September 30.

The updated guidance maintains recommendations concerning the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, although the scope of the advisory has been narrowed to focus primarily on the waters of the Persian Gulf.

The agency has urged airlines to observe necessary precautions when operating in these areas due to continued security threats.

EASA also continues to warn against flights over the waters of the Gulf of Oman within the Muscat Flight Information Region.

According to the latest list of active advisories, warnings related to the airspace of the Persian Gulf, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon are also valid until September 30.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has also extended its recommendation for airlines to avoid operating in the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon until the end of September.

Despite the continued restrictions, the agency has stated that inbound and outbound flights from Beirut can proceed, provided that flight paths commence from the sea or that departure routes head towards the sea after takeoff.
