Military Analyst: War Against Iran Strains U.S. Military Resources

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Robert Fox, a military affairs expert, asserted in an article published by The i Paper in the United Kingdom that the war, which was expected to conclude within six weeks, has now stretched into its seventh month without a reliable resolution. As tensions reignited in the Strait of Hormuz, oil prices immediately surged by 2 percent.

Fox added that Iran has recognized the strategic value of controlling the Strait of Hormuz and is leveraging it as an economic and political pressure point against the United States and its allies. He further elaborated that Iran can capitalize on the actions of President Trump towards allies in the Persian Gulf, as well as countries like the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Canada, even as American political and military resources dwindle.

The United States has incurred escalating military expenses following the deployment of an additional 50,000 troops and two aircraft carrier groups, alongside the extensive use of missiles and munitions. The USS Lincoln has been deployed at sea for over 205 days, with its personnel reportedly experiencing depression, anxiety, and even suicidal ideation. This strain not only impacts America’s readiness in the Middle East but also weakens the overall capacity of the U.S. military to address global crises.
