Panama-Flagged Oil Tanker Attacked by Drone in Iraqi Waters

A Panama-flagged oil tanker carrying two million barrels of Iraqi fuel oil was targeted by a drone attack in Iraqi territorial waters, with emergency crews extinguishing the resulting fire.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Reuters reported that a Panama-flagged oil tanker carrying two million barrels of Iraqi fuel oil was attacked by a drone in Iraqi territorial waters. Iraqi rescue boats successfully extinguished the fire aboard the New Andreas tanker.
Sources within Iraqi ports indicated to Reuters that there were no reports of casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations also confirmed receiving a report of an attack on an oil tanker with an unknown projectile approximately 28 miles southeast of Fao, Iraq.
