California Governor Accuses Trump of Corruption, Bribery Ahead of Midterms

Newsom took to social media platform X to address the American people, stating, “After Donald Trump made you sicker and poorer with his war, he now wants to buy your vote with $5,000 of taxpayer money, obtained from the blood of the people.” The governor further asserted, “Trump is the most corrupt person who has ever occupied the Oval Office of the White House.” This comes as the U.S. President is reportedly making an unusual effort to persuade voters to support his party. Trump has pledged to pay every adult American $5,000 as “Trump dividends” if Republicans maintain control of Congress in the November midterm elections.
