Ukraine Expanding Long-Range Strikes Against Russia, Zelensky Claims

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday that Ukraine is set to expand its long-range strike capabilities against Russia, following reports from his defense minister and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Saturday that Ukraine is actively expanding its long-range strike operations. This announcement came after receiving reports from Yevhen Hmara, the Minister of Defense, and Mykhailo Drashatyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Zelensky indicated that preparations are underway to enhance Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. He further elaborated that Kyiv is also focusing on mass production of systems designed to counter drones, claiming that several solutions have already demonstrated their effectiveness in real combat operations.

The Ukrainian President highlighted a recent success, stating that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) successfully employed a new Ukrainian interceptor drone for the second time. Military personnel from the SBU’s counter-intelligence unit reportedly targeted a Russian Geran-5 jet-powered drone.
