Saudi Representatives Attend Meeting with Netanyahu in Abu Dhabi
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, representatives from several Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, participated in a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, as reported by Channel 14 of the Israeli regime, citing an Emirati official.
The meeting was convened at Netanyahu’s request and was held in two segments: one between Israeli and Emirati representatives, and another including representatives from Arab countries, notably Saudi Arabia.
Three key issues were deliberated during the discussions: the continuation of security cooperation, particularly concerning air defense systems like the Iron Dome; the ongoing efforts to counter Iran and the Houthi movement; and the establishment of a joint coalition, potentially directed against Iran.
Earlier reports from the Associated Press, based on anonymous sources, indicated that Benjamin Netanyahu, during a recent clandestine visit to the UAE, had asked President Mohammed bin Zayed to deny a published report suggesting he had previously warned of the Al-Aqsa flood operation. Netanyahu reportedly urged the UAE president to refute a recent Haaretz newspaper report, which claimed bin Zayed had informed Netanyahu of the impending operation prior to October 7, 2023.
Netanyahu’s office had previously denied this report, asserting that Israeli media outlets had fabricated a “false story against the Prime Minister” that never occurred.
