Pakistan Interior Minister Praises Iran’s Development Amid Sanctions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, recently completed a series of intensive visits to Tehran as part of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions with the United States. During these visits, he spoke extensively about the advancements made by Iran, Iran’s neighboring country, despite enduring decades of sanctions.
Minister Naqvi acknowledged that individuals who had not visited Iran previously might have envisioned a war-torn wasteland with widespread devastation. However, he stated that those who accompanied him on his recent trip were amazed by the extent of development in a nation that has faced sanctions for many years.
He further elaborated, “Look at any sector, and you see that, for instance, their automotive industry produces everything domestically. I agree that export-driven growth is essential for the [improvement of the country’s economic situation], but simultaneously, we must reduce our imports through domestic production.”
Mohsin Naqvi urged the business community to present proposals in both export and import domains. He emphasized the necessity of emulating Iran’s economic development, remarking, “If they were able to achieve such success despite 30 to 40 years of sanctions, we can perform far beyond their achievements, and this task is easy for us.”
