According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. officials have claimed that Iran and the United States engaged in discussions regarding Iran’s nuclear program in New York this month through indirect talks. NBC News, citing a Washington official, reported these alleged exchanges, drawing from data published by the Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.

The same U.S. official suggested that during these indirect negotiations, the issue of Iran’s nuclear program was a central topic. Furthermore, the official asserted that U.S. President Donald Trump has consulted with his national security team about the potential for resuming operations against Iran in the coming weeks.

Sources also indicated that President Trump has explored the possibility of conducting strikes against Iran before the midterm elections. In addition to the discussions on Iran, the U.S. national security team has reportedly examined Washington’s strategic approach towards Iran and Yemen’s Houthi movement, according to U.S. officials speaking to NBC.
