Yemen Reiterates Full Readiness to Rejoin Gaza Conflict if Fighting Resumes

Yemen’s Chief of Staff, Major General Youssef Hassan Al-Madani, has affirmed the nation’s complete preparedness to resume military operations in support of Gaza should renewed hostilities commence against the strip, underscoring unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Major General Youssef Hassan Al-Madani, Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, has sent separate messages to the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, congratulating them on the third anniversary of “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.” He stressed Yemen’s full readiness to recommence military operations if the war against the Gaza Strip restarts.

Al-Madani described October 7th as a pivotal moment in the confrontation with the Zionist entity, stating that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood revealed truths, distinguished stances, and mobilized nations. He emphasized that the operation presented a serious challenge to the normalization project with the Zionist entity and clarified the dividing line between the “resistance front” and the “normalization front.”

The Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces highlighted Yemen’s role in supporting Gaza, noting that despite difficult conditions and geographical distance, Yemen leveraged its strategic position and capabilities to aid Palestine, incurring significant costs.

These costs included intensified siege, closure of airports and ports, targeting of Yemeni facilities and interests, and the martyrdom of government officials and military commanders. He specifically mentioned the late Major General Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghammari, the former Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Al-Madani asserted that pressures, siege, and attacks will not alter Yemen’s stance on Palestine. He added that any new escalation of attacks against the Palestinian people would be met with Yemeni support, as in the past.

The Chief of Staff outlined three core principles: Firstly, the Palestinian issue and the plight of Gaza remain Yemen’s fundamental and unwavering priority, not subject to negotiation. Secondly, Yemeni forces will prevent the return of war and aggression against the Gaza Strip, utilizing all their capabilities to do so. Thirdly, he reiterated Yemen’s complete readiness for an immediate return to military escalation, assuring the Qassam Brigades and the Palestinian people of continued Yemeni support until the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the land of ascension.

In his message to the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, Youssef Hassan Al-Madani also affirmed that the Gazan mujahideen staged a great epic on October 7th, inflicting the most significant defeat upon the enemy.

He further noted that the United States has been defeated and withdrawn from the scene in its confrontation with Yemen.
