Russia Assures No Leaks From US Talks, Eyes Post-Sanction Operations

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated that there will be no leaks from ongoing communications between Russia and the United States, while also commenting on European Union sanctions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov announced that the European Union has no further ideas for actions against Moscow, and its current plans target ordinary European citizens. He further stated that Russia has long learned how to operate under sanctions.

Ryabkov indicated that a subsequent meeting between Russia and the United States to discuss unresolved issues is likely to occur before the end of the current year. He added that relations between Russia and the US are progressing in certain areas, and holding a meeting with the US on unresolved matters is beneficial, as Russia has proposals to present.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also clarified that there is no specific agreement for a trilateral meeting involving the US, Russia, and Ukraine. He asserted that without pressure on Kyiv, no progress will be achieved. Ryabkov further commented that the outcomes of the phone call between Putin and Trump surprised those advocating for increased tensions, while the diesel fuel agreement has prompted many to adopt a realistic approach. Russia intends to continue its communications with the United States regarding Ukraine but will not permit any information leaks.
