Yemen Strongly Condemns Saudi Airstrikes Targeting Al Hudaydah University

Local authorities and human rights officials in Yemen have strongly condemned Saudi-led coalition airstrikes targeting the Faculty of Medicine at Al Hudaydah University, holding Riyadh directly responsible for the destruction of educational infrastructure.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi fighter jets carried out two separate airstrikes targeting the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Al Hudaydah University in western Yemen, drawing swift and severe condemnation from local officials.

The municipal administration of Al Hudaydah issued a strong statement denouncing the assault on an academic and medical institution, labeling it as a blatant violation of international standards and a deliberate act aimed at destroying educational infrastructure. City officials explicitly stated that they hold Saudi Arabia entirely accountable for this catastrophe, while urging global organizations, student associations, and academic centers to condemn the widespread destruction.

In a parallel development, the Yemeni National Commission for Human Rights released an official statement condemning both the Saudi aerial attacks on oil company facilities in Bajil and the bombing of the Al Hudaydah University medical faculty, categorizing both incidents as war crimes. The commission emphasized that targeting educational facilities and civilian locations constitutes a clear breach of international law, stressing that such aggressions are entirely unjustified under any circumstances.
