Hamas Marks 109th Anniversary of Balfour Declaration Condemning Ongoing Israeli Crimes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, …
On the 109th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued an official statement reaffirming the Palestinian nation’s steadfast dedication to its homeland, fundamental rights, and holy sites, stressing that this resolute path will persist until ultimate freedom and return are achieved.
The movement stated that the colonial policies and ongoing atrocities committed by the Israeli regime will never manage to erase the national identity of Palestine or diminish its enduring historical rights. At present, the Gaza Strip continues to grapple with a profound humanitarian catastrophe and relentless genocide, while residents in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem face hazardous schemes of forced displacement and Judaization—a blatant violation of international laws and conventions.
Strongly criticizing the international community’s inaction and silence regarding the containment of Israeli state terrorism, Hamas noted that 109 years have passed since one of the most egregious injustices in modern history. This historical misstep was initiated by the British government through the issuance of the Balfour Declaration, which unlawfully granted land to those who held no rightful claim to it.
The resistance movement added that this very colonial mindset continues to dominate the political structure and cabinet of the Israeli regime, manifesting through massacres, blockades, starvation, and forced displacement targeting the population of Gaza as well as residents across the cities, villages, and refugee camps of the occupied West Bank.
Hamas declared that the Balfour Declaration and subsequent political grievances inflicted upon the rights and historical soil of Palestine—alongside the massacres, forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and exile perpetrated by the Zionists ever since—will never succeed in marginalizing or obliterating the just cause and legitimate rights of the Palestinians. These historical injustices remain an enduring testament to the disgrace of the regime and its international backers.
According to the statement, achieving national unity within the framework of a unified struggle strategy involving all Palestinian factions and political currents remains the sole viable path to counter the conspiracies and crimes executed by the Israeli regime against the land, people, and Islamic and Christian sanctuaries of Palestine.
The Hamas movement underscored that the right of Palestinian refugees to return to the homes and properties from which they were forcibly expelled constitutes a legal, legitimate, and unalienable right, and that no compromise, concession, or waiver on this matter is ever acceptable.
Furthermore, the movement urged Arab and Islamic nations, alongside all free peoples globally, to take earnest action through diverse means to halt the occupation’s state terrorism, escalate its international isolation, and actively support Palestinian resilience and legitimate resistance until the liberation of the land, the return of its people, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital are fully realized.
In conclusion, Hamas reiterated its demand for effective and serious international action to pressure the Israeli regime into halting its ongoing aggressions, while insisting on the urgent necessity to prosecute the regime’s leaders as war criminals before international tribunals.
