According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, …
The Israeli military has officially lifted its ten-day siege on the West Bank city of Hebron, prompting displaced residents to begin returning to their homes and normal daily life to gradually resume. Khaled Dodin, the Governor of Hebron, announced in an interview with Al Jazeera that Israeli occupation forces have withdrawn from the neighborhoods of Deir Bakhah and Al-Jalda, alongside other sectors of the city.
Dodin noted that during their deployment, occupation troops carried out incursions into numerous residential homes and local facilities. Following the withdrawal, the Hebron Municipality immediately initiated official assessment operations to document and evaluate the extensive material damages inflicted during the military operation.
According to the governor, normalcy is slowly returning to the area, with local students and university enrollees heading back to educational institutions. Furthermore, residents who were forced to evacuate their properties during the raids have started moving back into their homes.
Statistics released by the Hebron Municipality indicate that the military operation, which lasted through the evening of October 31, 2026, displaced and directly affected more than 3,300 citizens. The offensive also resulted in the destruction of 15 homes and commercial facilities, the forced closure of 327 shops, and direct daily economic losses estimated at approximately 12 million shekels, roughly equivalent to 3.8 million US dollars. Additionally, the operation temporarily deprived some 80,000 school students of access to their classrooms.
