According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Representative Haley Stevens sparked significant political fallout within the Democratic Party after publicly expressing her support for Republican candidate Mike Rogers in a strategic move aimed at strengthening President Donald Trump’s agenda.

In the wake of this decision, Justin German, Stevens’ chief of staff, alongside several key office staffers, tendered their resignations. The departing aides immediately shifted their allegiance to Abdulrahman El-Sayed, the Democratic rival running against Rogers.

Expressing profound shock and disappointment over Stevens’ realignment, German emphasized that the broader stakes of the electoral outcome transcend traditional partisan divisions, announcing that he will personally campaign to secure a victory for the Democrats in the upcoming US midterms.

Reacting to the developments, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer strongly condemned Stevens’ stance, labeling the move a betrayal while formally endorsing El-Sayed’s candidacy. Previously, Stevens had publicly criticized El-Sayed over his positions regarding the Israeli regime.

Meanwhile, President Trump addressed a campaign rally on Sunday in Iowa, publicly inviting Stevens to formally cross the aisle and join the Republican Party.
