Under a newly issued decree by Moscow, the delivery of selected petrochemical items to markets outside the borders of the Eurasian Economic Union has been prohibited for a period of three months. Russian authorities stated that the primary objective of this measure is to safeguard the continuous supply of essential raw materials required by domestic factories and manufacturing facilities.
The official directive covers key chemical compounds such as coal- and oil-derived benzene, toluene, ortho-xylene, para-xylene, and phenol. These strategic materials are utilized across a wide array of industrial applications, including the manufacturing of paints and industrial coatings, food packaging, flooring production, cable insulation, and medical equipment.
