Trump Considers Replacing War Secretary Amidst Republican Election Setbacks

President Donald Trump is reportedly evaluating the position of War Secretary Pete Hegseth following significant Republican losses in the midterm congressional elections, with some aides attributing the defeats to strategic failures in Iran.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in the wake of catastrophic Republican defeats in the U.S. midterm congressional elections, President Donald Trump has been inquiring among close advisors and in phone conversations about whether War Secretary Pete Hegseth should retain his post. Several informed sources have indicated this is under consideration.

Some White House aides have suggested that a portion of the Republican electoral losses can be attributed to Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), and General Dan Kink, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Both individuals reportedly played prominent roles in formulating strategies concerning the invasion of Iran.

However, other sources have informed CBS that the President has not yet made a decision regarding Hegseth’s replacement. CBS further reported that Democrats had sought Hegseth’s impeachment even before the congressional elections. With Democrats now holding a decisive majority in both chambers, the likelihood of impeachment proceedings against Hegseth could potentially increase.
