According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, Palestinian supporters gathered near the US Congress building today and demanded the efforts of the government of this country to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.
The protesters were holding placards with different slogans. “Drop Biden/Cease fire now,” “Free Palestine,” “End all aid to Israel,” and “End the occupation” are some of the slogans on the protesters’ placards.
The English-language website “National” wrote that one of the protestors’ slogans was “No to peace in the stolen land/We want justice”. This demonstration took place this Thursday morning (local time) and the protesters tried to stop the passage of cars.
Washington DC Traffic Police Department reported in a message on social network X (formerly Twitter) that some streets were blocked as a result of the protests. The police asked people to pay attention to the instructions and use alternative streets for some routes.
Some American media have reported that coordinated protests have closed several major highways on the way to Washington, DC.
Democrats [as much as Republicans] are complicit in crime,” one protester, Ashley, told the National.
