According to the Fars News Agency International Group, following the farmers’ demonstrations in Germany, Belgium and France, Swiss farmers also came to the streets with tractors on Saturday.
According to the news agency “Anatolia” Dozens of farmers in the city of “Geneva” in Switzerland on Saturday joined the farmers’ protests that have shaken the European continent.
A convoy of 30 tractors honked their horns in protest from Pleinpolis square, the venue of the weekly farmers’ market.
Farmers on tractors carried signs that read: “The end of us will be your death” and “There is no country without farmers”.
The people present in the square also showed their solidarity with the protesting farmers by clapping their hands. In this demonstration, the police were monitoring the protest of the farmers, but there was no clash. In the past days, more than 4,000 tractors blocked the streets of Berlin, the capital of Germany. He said that the protestors will not be burdened by the recent proposal of the government of this country to gradually remove tax discounts for farmers and will continue their protests until the result is reached.
In France, farmers marched towards the country’s parliament in Paris, and drone footage showed a large convoy of tractors blocking highways around Paris.
