Biden threatened to veto the aid bill to Israel without considering Ukraine
The White House threatened Monday that Joe Biden would veto a House Republican bill that only includes aid to Israel and does not address the war in Ukraine. |
Fars News Agency International Group; US President Joe Biden said on Monday he would veto the House Republicans’ bill, which includes $17.6 billion in aid for Israel, calling it a political maneuver aimed at damaging the chances of passing broader legislation. The purpose is to provide funds for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan and the American border.
U.S. House Republicans strongly oppose the broader bill introduced by a small group of bipartisan senators. The $118.3 billion national security bill includes $60 billion to support Ukraine, $14.1 billion to support the Zionist regime, $10 billion in emergency aid, and $20.2 billion for border security.
Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson said on Saturday that the Republicans will propose the Israel budget bill instead of this plan. In its official response, the Biden administration announced that it would veto the House of Representatives bill, which is only for Israel, if it reaches its desk.
The White House’s Office of Management and Budget announced in a statement that “the administration is strongly committed to helping Ukraine defend itself by plotting to do nothing for border security.” Putin does not stand against aggression… he is against it. In response to Biden’s veto threat, Johnson called it “betrayal” to Israel.
Biden previously also presented the package proposed by the Republicans to support the Zionist regime regardless. He rejected and opposed more military aid to Ukraine.
