Gillian Keegan said on Friday that schools must deal with the spate of student absences “with the utmost seriousness”.
The Guardian reported that hundreds of students participated in school strikes in support of Palestine on Friday.
A group called “Stop the War Coalition” in England called on schools in this country to strike in support of Palestine on Friday.
In several English cities, including Manchester and Bristol, students participated in these strikes.
