Syria’s Permanent Representative to the European Union said on Friday at the public meeting of the International Court of Justice in The Hague that stability in the West Asia requires the end of the occupation of the Zionist regime.
According to the official Syrian news agency (SANA), Ammar al-Ersan, the head of the permanent representation of Syria in the European Union, added at the public meeting of the International Court of Justice: The aggressive actions of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and its repeated attacks on Syria and Lebanon are the most obvious reflection of the failure of the international community. In stopping the crimes of the occupiers, it is considered.
He emphasized that it should not be enough to describe the actions and policies of this regime, but the occupation of Palestine and the rest of the occupied Arab lands, including the Syrian Golan, by the occupying forces of Israel must be ended.
Al-Arsan continued about the legal consequences of the policies and actions of the Zionist regime in the occupied Palestinian territories, including occupied Jerusalem, and said: The right to self-determination is the most important and noble human right, and (the regime) of Israel long before October 7, 2023 and since 76 Last year, it violates the right of the Palestinian people and practices racial discrimination in the Gaza Strip, and since then it has waged a genocidal war and committed war crimes and crimes against humanity against more than 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The representative of Syria in the European Union added that these actions of the occupying regime are part of a repressive and organized and very large structure.
He said: The occupying regime must be held accountable for the gross and continuous violation of the provisions of international law, the United Nations Charter and international resolutions, and the violations, violations, and settlements should be stopped, the apartheid wall should be dismantled, and the damages caused to the Palestinian people should be compensated. .
Al-Arsan added: Syria insists on the temporary nature of the occupation and even if it is considered as a real matter, it does not give this right to the occupying regime and will not allow it to gain sovereignty over the occupied territories.
Syria’s representative also emphasized the need for the United Nations to pay attention to the additional measures necessary to end the occupation of Arab lands by Israel.
He added: The stability of the West Asia and the credibility of the United Nations, including the International Court of Justice, require the adoption of measures to ensure the implementation of all relevant international resolutions to end the occupation (regime) of Israel in all occupied Arab lands.
