Two National Guardsmen were killed when an Apache helicopter crashed during a routine training flight yesterday Friday near Bonneville, Mississippi.
The Mississippi National Guard said one of its helicopters crashed near Randy Tolar’s Bonneville home about 2 p.m. Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two National Guardsmen were killed in the incident.
The identity of the two dead soldiers has not been announced yet. But it is said that both forces were the aviation support facilities of the army.
The Mississippi National Guard said the helicopter was an AH-64 Apache military aircraft.
Mississippi will always be grateful for their service and we will never forget them,” Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves said in a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

America has recently witnessed several helicopter and military plane crashes. In early February, five Marines were killed when their helicopter crashed in Southern California during a training flight, CNN reported. At the end of 2023, eight airmen were killed after their CV-22 Osprey helicopter crashed near the island of Yakushima in Japan.
