Controversy of the right-wing president of Argentina
The governors of the provinces of Argentina threatened the president of this country, if he does not release their payments, they will not send their resources to the capital. |
Ignacio Torres, the governor of Argentina’s Chubut province, threatened the federal government of this country that if the region does not receive tax revenues, it will cut off the supply of oil and gas.
According to Ryan News report, the governor wrote on X social network: Chubut province is an integral part of the nation and deserves respect. No one can enslave it by reducing the allocation of public funds that rightfully belongs to it.
Torres announced that the government illegally kept $13.5 million last February, which is more than a third of the province’s monthly share of tax collection. The governor of this province warned: If they do not adhere to the constitution and do not transfer money to the people of Chubut, Chubut will not supply them with oil and gas produced in its soil.
At the end of January, Pedro Pisati, the deputy governor of Argentina’s Rio Negro state, also threatened that if the country’s president Javier Milli does not stop threatening the regions, the government will leave the country without energy sources.
Argentine newspaper La Nación, on the other hand, revealed that Javier Milli threatened not to give a single penny to provincial governors whose regional deputies did not support his reforms in Congress.
Previously, the House of Representatives of the Argentine Congress refused to approve the reform plan presented by Milli due to the chapter on the privatization of state-owned companies, and the document was returned to the relevant committee for revision.
Criticizing the representatives who voted against this program, the head of government described them as traitors, criminals and parasites.
