Russia’s warning to countries that make hostile attacks on Russian forces

Konstantin Gavrilov, the head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, said that Russia has repeatedly warned NATO countries about the danger of their direct participation in actions against the Russian armed forces.

Gavrilov told Sputnik news agency: “We have repeatedly warned the NATO countries that use Ukraine as a scapegoat against our country, about the danger of their direct participation in hostilities against the Russian armed forces.” Continuing to use Kiev and direct it against Russia will not weaken Russia, but will only lead to victimization of Ukraine.

Russia believed that sending weapons to Ukraine is incompatible with the resolution of the conflict and direct involvement of NATO countries in the conflict is “playing with fire”.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would be Russia’s legitimate target. According to him, America and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, not only by providing weapons, but also by training personnel in England, Germany, Italy and other countries. The Kremlin announced that injecting weapons from the West into Ukraine will not help the negotiations and will have a negative impact.

Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky repeated in a televised interview that he needed US military aid, which has been blocked by the Republican Party, and how he had asked President Joe Biden to influence the opponents of support.

Zelensky expressed hope that despite the upcoming elections in America, it would be possible to reach an agreement on budget allocation. He explained: “I said to President Biden, ‘Please, I’m asking you to help me and the people of Ukraine, please hold a Democratic and Republican meeting together and hopefully we can come to an agreement.
