Burrell’s criticism of the European Commission President’s all-round support for the Zionist regime
A European official emphasized that the unconditional support of the President of the European Commission to the Zionist regime had a geopolitical cost for the continent. |
Joseph Borrell, the head of the European Union’s foreign policy, accused Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, of fully supporting the Zionist regime after the recent positions.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais, Josep Borrell said that the European Commission President is taking a completely biased position towards Israel, because he had already publicly announced the EU’s support for the occupation of Israel after the Al-Aqsa storm. His trip to Israel at the end of 2023 has brought a lot of geopolitical cost to Europe.
It is worth noting that Ursula von der Leyen has been widely criticized since last October 7th for supporting the Zionist regime and her unwillingness to support civilians in Gaza. This European official had traveled to the occupied territories on the sixth day since the start of the Zionist regime’s aggression on the Gaza Strip with the aim of solidarity with Tel Aviv, and from there he announced the unconditional support of the European Union to the Zionist occupation.
Meanwhile, in his remarks at the time, von der Leyen never addressed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and made no recommendations to Tel Aviv to stop targeting civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
This is while with the martyrdom of nearly 30,000 women, children and civilians in Gaza, the people of the world, including the people of European countries, have a bad view of the Zionist regime, and the heads of European countries are also implicitly pushing the Zionists to a ceasefire. In this regard, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz said in press releases: “We are clearly warning about a massive attack on Rafah.” Many people have now fled there and have no alternative to escape and cannot be safe. A human disaster must be avoided.
Also, last week, Stephen Hiebstreit, the spokesman of the German government, expressed deep concern about the statements of the leaders of the Zionist regime regarding their intention to attack the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.
