According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Nasir Ahmed Andisheh”, the representative of the Ghani government in Geneva, at the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council, asked the member states of the UN not to try to normalize relations with Kabul and not move towards recognizing the government of the Taliban.
He added: There is a global consensus about achieving peace and respecting the human rights of the Afghan people, but no serious steps have been taken in this direction yet.
Before the recent meeting of the United Nations Security Council for Afghanistan, in a part of the report published in this council, it was mentioned about the concern of Western countries about the increase of cooperation between the countries of the region and Afghanistan.
The report stated: “Some analysts believe that Western countries, including the United States, are concerned that increased cooperation between regional countries and Afghanistan could leverage international to weaken the Taliban by giving them the economic benefits and legitimacy that Kabul is looking for”.
