Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister of Pakistan

Parliamentarians of Parkistan elected "Shehbaz Sharif" as the new prime minister of this country.

According to Mehr News Agency, according to Sputnik, the representatives of the new Parliament of Pakistan elected “Mohammed Shehbaz Sharif” as the Prime Minister of this country with the majority of votes to form the new government of Pakistan.

Representatives of the Pakistani Parliament held a meeting to elect a new prime minister a few hours ago; Shehbaz Sharif, the candidate of Nawaz’s Muslim League party, which was supported by seven other parties, competed with Umar Ayub, the candidate supported by former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Tehreek-e-Insaf party.

According to the announcement of the election committee, out of 266 elected seats in the National Parliament of Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Pakistan won 90 seats in the recent parliamentary elections. The “Pakistan Muslim League” party won 75 seats and took the second place in this election, and the “Pakistan People” party won 54 seats and thus took the third place in this election.

The National Parliament of Pakistan has 366 seats, of which 266 representatives are elected through direct voting. Of the remaining 70 seats, 60 seats are reserved for women and 10 seats for non-Muslim minorities.

In order to obtain a majority in the parliament and form a government, a party must have at least 169 seats in the National Assembly.
