The World Health Organization warns of the spread of hunger among children in Gaza

The head of the World Health Organization warned that children in Gaza are at risk of death due to lack of food.

According to al-Quds al-Arabi, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X social network (former Twitter) that two days ago, the officials of this organization visited Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals in northern Gaza, indicating Severe lack of food and malnutrition is fatal for children.

He wrote that the results of visiting these hospitals had scary and ominous findings and the lack of food led to the death of 10 children and very high levels of malnutrition in these two hospitals, whose buildings and facilities were also attacked by the army (regime). Israel is destroyed, observed.

Earlier, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned about the increase in the number of Palestinian children in Gaza and announced that the concerns about the death of children in Gaza have become a reality.

“Catherine Russell”, the executive director of UNICEF, stated that many children in Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition, and emphasized: Palestinian children in Gaza are on the verge of death. Out of every 6 children under the age of 2 in Gaza, one child is acutely malnourished.

Palestinian resistance groups started the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Israeli regime on October 15, 2023, which finally ended on December 3, 1402 (November 24, 2023) after 45 days of fighting. A four-day temporary cease-fire was established between Hamas and the Zionist regime.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on the morning of Friday 10 Azar (December 1, 2023), the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In order to retaliate against the “Al-Aqsa Storm” attacks, compensate for its failure and stop resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
