Sheikh Naim Qasim: Hezbollah does not care about international threats

report Mehr News Agency quoted by Al-Ahed news website, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, emphasized in a televised speech that Hezbollah today is in a defensive position and is doing everything possible to protect the interests of Lebanon and At the same time, supporting Gaza shows restraint.

He stated that Hezbollah does not lead Lebanon to war, but it is the enemy of Israel, which is considered a real danger and can be attacked at any time without any reason and justification to start a war against Lebanon.

Qassem emphasized that Hezbollah elements are trying to prevent Lebanon from becoming a war zone by sacrificing their lives. Hezbollah youths are martyred to preserve the dignity and honor of all Lebanese people, Hezbollah is steadfast and remains in southern Lebanon, and all the actions it has taken so far are a small part of the capabilities of this movement.

Deputy Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, referring to the visit of US envoy Amos Hochstein to Lebanon, said that he does not pay any attention to Hochstein’s messages, he has consultations with government officials and Hezbollah. It does not interfere in these matters. He said: Of course, he cannot add anything to the developments, because our position is clear and as long as the war in Gaza continues, our front will be active.

Sheikh Qassem noted: Neither threats nor negative messages will have any effect on us, and if Israel attacks us, we will also react to it. And any dispute regarding the situation of the borders and the south after the Gaza war is possible.

This Hezbollah official said that real support for Lebanon is possible with strong and deterrent resistance. The resistance acts wisely and in the right direction based on the interests of the people, and this is what it is doing in southern Lebanon.

He raised two possibilities regarding the war in Gaza and said that either US President Joe Biden will predict defeat in the presidential election or that an exceptional incident in Gaza or a political change will occur inside the occupied territories.

Qassem said that the Americans do not want to open the crossings of Gaza and bring humanitarian aid into the region, because they want pressure to increase political influence on Hamas.

He pointed out that the Zionist regime has failed to achieve its goals in Gaza and that Hamas is still powerful in all areas of Gaza, and emphasized that the events that took place in Gaza shows the fall of American and Western human values ​​that seek to export it to others for the cultural colonization of nations.
