Adhanom: Evacuating Rafah before the attack is not a workable solution

The Director General of the World Health Organization called on the Zionist regime to refrain from attacking the city of Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip "in the name of humanity".

reported Mehr News Agency quoted by France Press, “Tedros Adhanom” wrote on “X” social network: I am extremely worried about the reports about the project Israel about a ground attack on Rafah. The escalation of tensions in this densely populated area will lead to more death and suffering.

The director general of the World Health Organization said: The Israeli army’s plan to evacuate this area before the attack is not a viable solution.

He added: We ask Israel to work towards peace instead.

The director-general of the World Health Organization stressed that people in Rafah have no safe place to go, no fully functional and safe health facilities that they can access in other parts of Gaza.

The Prime Minister’s Office of the Zionist regime announced on Friday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved the army’s action plans to attack Rafah. Rafah is a city in the Gaza Strip and on the border with Egypt, where many Palestinian civilians have taken refuge after the Zionist regime invaded Gaza.
