UNICEF: The number of children dying in Gaza is catastrophic

The executive director of the United Nations Children's Fund said: "The number of children who die in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic."

Catherine Russell, the executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), warned on Sunday about the disastrous situation in Gaza.

He, who was interviewed by the news channel “CBS” News, said: “We know that children in Gaza are dying because of malnutrition.”

Russell added: “The number of children who have died in Gaza is catastrophic”.

The executive director of UNICEF said: “We need the maximum amount of aid to reach the Gaza Strip”.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime emphasized on Sunday that despite international pressure, the war in Gaza will continue. Before the meeting with the war cabinet, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that despite the increase of “international pressure”, he will not stop the war in Gaza.
