International Rescue Committee: Israel has no justification for the famine in Gaza
The International Rescue Committee criticized the Zionist regime for creating a man-made famine in the Gaza Strip. |
164 days of the bloody war of the Zionist regime against the defenseless people of Gaza have passed. During this period, 31,726 civilians were martyred and more than 73,000 were injured. However, what now threatens the lives of Palestinians in this area is the Zionist regime’s prevention of humanitarian aid.
According to Al Jazeera, Sam Durden, one of the officials of the International Rescue Committee, announced today (Monday) that the famine that is now overshadowing Gaza is a worrying and unprecedented issue and that Israel is involved in this issue.
In the statement published by this committee, it is emphasized: Palestinian children are starving due to a man-made and controllable crisis. There is no justification for Israel in this matter.
This statement further proposes the following to end the famine in Gaza:
1- Establishing an immediate ceasefire
2- Ending Israel’s actions in preventing the arrival of water, food, and fuel , and essential medical items to Gaza
3- All parties should facilitate the quick and unhindered passage of humanitarian aid through all possible land routes to Gaza.
Melanin Ward, the director of the Medical Aid Center for Palestinians, also announced: the impending famine in Gaza can be easily solved. Over the past 5 months, we have continuously warned of the worsening situation in Gaza. However, not only has no action been taken in this matter, but we are also witnessing the worsening of the situation.
