America: Ukraine censors war news

Quoted by Rashatudi, a senior US State Department official said that the Ukrainian government should be more transparent about communicating the bitter truths of the battlefield situation to its people.
James Rubin, head of the Center for Global Engagement of the US Department of State, announced in an interview with Politico on Thursday that Ukraine is not very transparent with its people about the realities of the battlefield.
The head of the US Department of State’s Center for Global Engagement stressed that although Ukraine is moving in the right direction, it is still not a fully-fledged country in terms of democracy.
He said that Kiev authorities may in some cases resist freedom of information, which is normal for us.
This American diplomat asked the Ukrainian government to be less restrictive when monitoring media coverage of the war. He reminded that on some days, war reporters report things that are not necessarily in favor of Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine.
