Assange will not be extradited to America

A member of the British Parliament confirmed the unwillingness of the London government to extradite the founder of the whistleblower site "WikiLeaks" to America.

Citing Reuters, “Richard Balfe”, a conservative member of the British House of Lords, announced on Thursday that as long as “Julian Assange”, the founder of WikiLeaks, is in danger of the death penalty. If it is from America, the British government will not be willing to extradite him to America.

This member of the British Parliament emphasized: I am sure that Julian Assange’s lawyers will pursue the appeal as long as they can.

Balfe added that he believes that the British government will not be willing to extradite him without a clear commitment that Assange will not be executed.

On Tuesday, the British court postponed the extradition of “Julian Assange”, the founder of WikiLeaks, to the United States. The British court gave Assange the right to file an appeal against the decision to extradite him to the United States.

This process in England has been postponed for three weeks so that the lawyers of the American government provide new guarantees regarding the protection of freedom of expression in the context of the Assange case and the non-issue of the death sentence against him.

Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, missed the hearings of his case at the London High Court a few days ago due to his deteriorating physical condition, and also refused to attend the video conference due to his deteriorating condition.
