Lowering the age of conscription in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law lowering the country’s minimum conscription age from 27 to 25 to increase the number of people who could potentially be sent to fight Russia.
According to CNN, the Ukrainian parliament approved this resolution in May 2023, but Zelensky only recently signed it.
It is not clear how much the number of Ukrainian army soldiers will increase with this resolution.
This action takes place while Ukraine is trying to provide more manpower for its army. Earlier this week, Britain’s Defense Intelligence Agency released a report showing that Russia has significantly more personnel and ammunition than Ukraine.
On the other hand, today (Wednesday), the Politico magazine, quoting high-ranking Ukrainian defense officials, described the country’s future in the war as bleak and declared that due to the high number of Russian troops and Russian weapon stocks, there is a risk of collapse.
