The Chinese government had previously condemned the American plan to deploy medium-range missiles in Asia and the Pacific in the near future; “General Charles E. Flynn” announced this Washington plan at the beginning of this month.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a meeting with reporters on Monday: “The Chinese side always deploys medium-range missiles in the Asia-Pacific region by the United States in order to gain superiority.” The military has unilaterally opposed… We ask the American side to really respect the security concerns of other countries and stop undermining them.
