Gantz: World and regional powers should put pressure on Hamas
The senior member of the Zionist war cabinet demanded more pressure on Hamas in order to accept Israel's conditions in the negotiations. |
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime, had introduced 3 main goals for the start of the Gaza war: first, the destruction of Hamas; Second, release the captives and finally create conditions so that Gaza will no longer be a threat to Israel’s security in the future. Now that 6 months have passed since the Ghara war and considering the heavy costs incurred by Tel Aviv in terms of material and human losses, Netanyahu has no choice but to conclude the war through negotiations.
According to Al Jazeera, Benny Gantz, one of the members of the Zionist regime’s war cabinet, today (Wednesday) asked global and regional powers to force Hamas to accept Israel’s terms by putting pressure on Hamas.
He said in this context: Now is the time for us to use all possible pressure on Hamas in order to accept the proposal made to the American leadership for a ceasefire and the release of all our prisoners.
Gantz added: Apart from military pressures, political and diplomatic pressures are now necessary. I raised this issue with the American authorities and the authorities of the countries in the region.
This senior Zionist official threatened the Zionist authorities and emphasized: Hamas leaders should know that in addition to the military costs they will incur for not accepting our proposal, they will also incur a heavy cost from the countries of the world and the region due to the weakening of the current proposal. It is on the table, they will pay.
Hamas officials insist that a permanent ceasefire should prevail in Gaza and the Palestinian refugees should return to their homes in northern Gaza. However, with the aim of continuing the war, Israel is looking for a temporary ceasefire and wants to create a buffer zone in northern Gaza.
