Mahmoud Abbas: We are ready to take over the administration of Gaza

The head of the self-governing organization claimed in a speech that he is ready to take over the management of Gaza under a comprehensive political solution.

According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority today (Friday), on the 19th anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death, said that this organization is ready to take over the management of Gaza.

According to the Wafa news agency, at the beginning of his speech, he called the attacks of the occupying Quds regime in Gaza “genocide” and said that he has no words to describe what is happening in Gaza.

Mahmoud Abbas added: “How can we remain silent in the face of the dead and wounded of more than 40,000 Palestinians in Gaza, most of whom are women and children, as well as the destruction of tens of thousands of residential units, infrastructure, hospitals, and aid centers?”

He then warned against the forced resettlement of the people of Gaza, the West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem, and said: “We will never accept the repetition of the Nakbat of 1948 or the displacement of 1967.”

Mahmoud Abbas then gave the green light to the United States to take over the administration of Gaza, saying that Gaza is an inseparable part of the Palestinian state and that the self-governing organizations are ready to fulfill their responsibilities in the West Bank, Jerusalem and It is Gaza.

The head of the self-governing organization continued to blame the Israeli regime for what is happening in Gaza and said that a military and security solution will not bring peace and security to Israel.

Mahmoud Abbas emphasized: “We will never agree to the occupation of Gaza or its parts under any pretext”. The management of Gaza is after the New York Times wrote today that Mahmoud Abbas has given the green light to the American government to manage the Gaza Strip after the end of the war.

The newspaper, Mahmoud Abbas told the US government that he is willing to accept such a role in Gaza if Washington adheres to the full-fledged two-state solution. The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) also told the New York Times that the authorities of the Palestinian Authority are waiting for a serious plan from Washington for Israel to adhere to the two-state solution.

Thirty-four days have passed since the start of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip. In these attacks, 10,569 people, including 4,237 children, 2,823 women and girls, and 631 elderly people were martyred. In addition, there have been reports of more than 3,000 missing and 26,000 injured Palestinian citizens.

The United States and the West have supported these attacks by the Israeli regime. Although many United Nations aid and health organizations have warned about the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, the United States and Western countries, with their full support for the crimes of the Zionist regime, claim that a ceasefire in Gaza will only benefit Hamas.

G7 foreign ministers, including US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, said in a statement on Wednesday that they support a humanitarian pause in the conflict in Gaza, but refused to call for a ceasefire.

So far, more than 1.5 million Palestinians have been displaced by the military operations and the Zionist regime in the last month and have fled their homes in Gaza. However, the Zionist regime does not consider any of these cases and constantly emphasizes that it will continue the war until the complete destruction of Hamas.
