Increasing the transportation of goods from Khawaf-Herat rail route

According to the report of the regional office of Tasnim News, “Mohammed Nasim Mohammadi, head of Herat province railway, told reporters that the transfer of commercial goods through the Khaf-Herat railway will increase from 300,000 tons to 500,000 tons next year.
On the other hand, “Abdulhamid Hamed”, the head of Herat Customs, also told Salam Vatandar that the revenues of this customs have increased by 60% compared to last year.
The Herat-Khaf railway has four sections, of which three sections have been completed so far and the fourth section is under construction.
This The railway route is part of the East-West international transit route and speeds up the economic interactions between five countries from the tip of East Asia to the West of this continent.
