report Mehr News Agency, citing al-Furat News, Iraqi sources announced that the forces of the 12th Brigade of Iraqi Hashd Shaabi were deployed in different areas of Karbala as part of a special security plan to ensure the security of the half-Sha’ban ceremony.
According to this report, the presence of Hashd Shaabi forces has been strengthened in Karbala, 19 kilometers from Karbala to Atbat Maqdisah.
Iraqi sources announced that the purpose of this deployment is to intensify security efforts to maintain the safety of pilgrims.
Previously, Ali Al-Hamdani, the commander of “Al-Efrat Al-Awsat” operation headquarters of Hashd Shaabi, announced the special security plan for the half-Sha’ban ceremony and its implementation.
Also, Qais al-Mohammadavi, on the sidelines of his trip to Karbala, together with Abdul Amir Rashid Yarullah, Chief of the General Staff of the Iraqi Army, said: The purpose of the trip to Karbala is Information about the half-Sha’ban plan. There is a high level of preparation for the implementation of this plan. Hashd Shaabi is highly prepared in terms of combat, technical, administrative and logistics to manage this ceremony. The situation is proceeding smoothly and normally according to the plan and there are no roadblocks. This plan includes providing comfort for the pilgrims and transporting them to the nearest place, providing smooth traffic and ensuring their safety.
