Brazil refused to supply ammunition to Ukraine
Bloomberg news agency, citing European and Brazilian officials, reported that Brazil rejected the request of Ukraine's allies to supply ammunition. |
Bloomberg announced in a statement: “Brazil has rejected the requests of the Allies to supply ammunition to Kiev”.
It is also noted that negotiations between Britain and Japan regarding the purchase of ammunition seem to have reached an impasse.
In December 2023, former Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said that Tokyo could sell 155mm artillery shells to London based on the relaxation of defense export rules.
Earlier, the Financial Times newspaper reported that Japan is considering the possibility of such exports to the UK, thereby indirectly helping to supply arms to Kiev.
Russia believes that sending weapons to Ukraine interferes with the issue of peace, involves NATO countries directly in the conflict and is “playing with fire”.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any shipment containing weapons for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia. According to him, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict not only by providing weapons, but also by training personnel in England, Germany, Italy and other countries.
Kremlin announced that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West will not help the negotiations and will have a negative effect.
