The approval of press statements in the Security Council requires the consensus of 15 members of this council. The United States told Security Council members that many facts about Monday’s attack in Damascus were unclear, Western diplomats told Reuters. France and Britain supported this position.

On Wednesday, the spokesman of the German Foreign Ministry avoided condemning the attack of the Zionist regime in a press conference. Sebastian Fischer, the spokesman of the German diplomatic service, expressed doubts about Israel’s role in that attack in the group of German media reporters.

On Monday, April 13, Israeli warplanes attacked the building affiliated to the Iranian embassy in Syria. Hossein Akbari, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, said that this attack was carried out with an F-35 fighter and six missiles.

Hours later, in an announcement, the previously published reports about the martyrdom of generals Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi confirmed Haj Rahimi and five of their companions in this attack. This attack has been opposed by various countries and authorities.
