In a statement today (Sunday), the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement praised Tehran’s drone and missile response to Tel Aviv’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

According to “Al-Quds” network, the statement of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement says: We praise Iran’s military response and targeting military sites inside the occupying regime.

Islamic Jihad emphasized: This action is a natural response to the occupying regime and is necessary in the face of crimes, violations and assassinations. Because this regime continues to commit them in clear violation of all human and legal values ​​and standards.

In the continuation of this statement, it is stated: We condemn all the condemning positions of this response, which is in line with the defense of the occupying regime. These countries have turned themselves into a protective wall to defend this regime and pretend that it has been violated and distort the rights.

This statement was issued after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on Saturday night that dozens of drones and missiles had been fired at the occupied territories and positions of the Zionist regime.

In the notice of the IRGC it is stated: In response to the numerous crimes committed by the Zionist regime, including the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus and the martyrdom of a group of commanders and military advisors of our country in Syria, the IRGC’s aerospace force targeted certain targets inside the occupied territories with Dozens of missiles and drones were hit.

The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations also announced: Iran’s military action was based on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter regarding legitimate defense in response to the aggression of the Zionist regime on our country’s diplomatic facilities in Damascus.
