US Military Member Accused of Insider Trading on Military Actions Against Iran and Venezuela

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. officials are preparing to bring charges against a military service member who allegedly amassed over $1 million through betting related to U.S. interventions against Iran and Venezuela. The investigation is examining the possibility of illegal use of insider information by the service member within the United States. Reports indicate the individual placed successful bets on U.S. actions against Iran and Venezuela via a paid betting platform, with potential charges to be filed next autumn.

Previously, U.S. military member Galen Kaine Van Dyke was accused of betting on the U.S. intervention in Venezuela and the abduction of Nicolás Maduro. He faces charges including illegal use of classified government information for personal gain, theft of classified information, fraud, and engaging in illegal financial transactions, potentially leading to a maximum sentence of 60 years in prison.

Additionally, former White House employee Gabriel Perez has reportedly been ordered to pay $165,000 for illegal bets concerning speeches made by U.S. President Donald Trump. In his former role, Perez had access to presidential speeches before they were delivered, which he allegedly used illicitly.
