Najib Mikati referred to the 8th conference called “Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region” which was recently held in Brussels and emphasized: Lebanon through its foreign minister has a specific plan for The organization of the case of Syrian refugees in Lebanon presented that this plan was approved by the government and supported by the parliament and is based on coordination between the relevant ministries and institutions. Abdallah Bou Habib, the Foreign Minister of the Government of Lebanon’s Affairs in the said conference, presented Lebanon’s request to start a plan to improve the situation in Syria, to separate the issue of refugees from political considerations, and to create safe areas in Syria for the return of refugees.

The Prime Minister of Lebanon’s interim government stated that Abdullah Bou Habib made contacts with his Arab counterparts from Jordan, Iraq, Egypt and Syria and agreed on a single plan to coordinate with the Syrian side and support the early improvement of the situation in this country. Lebanon also emphasized the need for support and help to encourage Syrian refugees to return to their country. A few weeks ago, a group of Syrian refugees on their first trip back to Syria from the Lebanese city of Arsal to the villages of Qalamoun and Jargir and also They were transferred to the suburbs of Damascus. These years, by giving money to Syrian refugees in different countries, including Lebanon, they have encouraged them to stay in the host countries and integrate with the societies of these countries. Especially in Lebanon, every time the mechanism for the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their country was provided, the West And the United States got involved and prevented them from doing this.

Currently, the European Union has promised Lebanon one billion euros to host Syrian refugees and prevent the wave of migration towards Europe. to give and this is actually a bribe that the Europeans called a gift. But Lebanese experts and elites believe that in exchange for receiving this bribe, Lebanon must pay a much heavier price for keeping Syrian refugees, and this is despite the fact that if Syrian refugees return to their country forever, a large part of Lebanon’s crisis will be solved.
