The National Railway Company of Chile announced in a statement that the freight train belonged to a private company with eight wagons and carried 1,346 tons of copper.
According to the announcement of the Chile Railway Company, in this accident, 9 more people from the crew of the passenger train were injured and sent to the hospital. The judicial authorities have announced the filing of a case and investigation about this incident.
