Tel Aviv’s use of the tactic of starving Palestinian prisoners

Human rights groups say that the Zionist regime purposefully imposes hunger on Palestinian prisoners in prisons of this regime.

Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist regime has widely arrested Palestinian civilians in the West Bank under the pretext of being associated with the Hamas movement. This action takes place while many of the detainees live in very bad conditions and are deprived of the minimum human rights.

According to Al Jazeera, the human rights organization Hurriyet Center for Defense of Freedom and Civil Rights announced today (Monday): The conditions in Ofer prison are very dire due to the lack of food in this prison.

One of the lawyers of this human rights center visited this prison outside of Ramallah and announced: Many detainees have lost a lot of weight in a short period of time, which is indicative of their inadequate nutritional conditions in this prison.

Palestinian prisoners in a conversation with one of the representatives of this humanitarian organization stated that when they ask the prison authorities for enough food to fill their stomachs, they face the misbehavior and violence of the Zionist prison guards.

The Hurriyet Freedom and Civil Rights Defense Center emphasizes that the Zionist authorities in this prison purposefully use the tactic of starving the detainees to achieve their goals.

On June 26, Itmar Ben Guer, the Minister of Internal Security of the Zionist regime, officially ordered the reduction of the food ration of the Palestinian prisoners in the prison of this regime.
