In the statement issued by the Federal Security Organization of Russia, it is stated: An attempt to violate the country’s borders in the “Bryansk” region of Russia was foiled. 4 saboteurs were killed. The remaining part of the sabotage and reconnaissance group was hit by rockets and artillery of the Russian army.

The Federal Security Organization of Russia added: A tattoo of the 75th Ranger Regiment of the US Special Forces was found on the body of one of the saboteurs killed in the Bryansk region. Personal objects indicate their affiliation to third countries. Weapons, equipment and foreign communication equipment were discovered from the killed saboteurs.
