Joint operation between Iran and Pakistan at border zero point against smugglers
According to Mehr News Agency, Khorasan Dayri English-language media wrote in its user account on X social network (former Twitter): Initial reports indicate a joint operation by border forces of Pakistan and Iran against smugglers at the border point in Baluchistan province.
This Pakistani media, quoting local sources, added: An explosion was heard on the Iran-Pakistan border, and another source also claimed that they were the target of smugglers.
Some unofficial user accounts on the social network X (former Twitter) in Pakistan, which follow the news of conflicts and security events, have claimed a security incident in an area called “Green Mountain” located in Baluchistan province of this country.
On Tuesday, on the second day of his official visit to Pakistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with the commander of the country’s army and the parties exchanged views on the latest developments related to bilateral cooperation and the situation in the region.
Syed Abbas Araghchi, while attending the headquarters of the General Command of the Pakistan Army in the city of Rawalpindi, met with General Syed Asim Munir, the commander of the army of this country.
In this meeting, some senior officials of the Pakistan Army Headquarters, as well as Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam and Colonel Mohammad Mohsen Shahabi, military attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, were present.
Araqchi and General Asim Mounir discussed the latest developments related to bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan, the situation in the region, especially defense-military cooperation and security at the common borders.
