Iraqi Analyst: Iran Negotiates With the US From a Position of Strength
Iraqi Political Analyst Emphasizes Iran’s Strong Position in Indirect Talks with the U.S.
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Almaalomah, Iraqi political analyst Qassim Al-Tamimi stressed that Iran is negotiating with the U.S.from a position of strength and has set conditions for these talks.
He added that Tehran had previously stated it would not engage in any negotiations with the U.S. under military threats.Al-Tamimi clarified that Iran agreed to enter talks only after conveying its demand for sanctions relief to the American side, which signifies its strong negotiating stance.
It is worth noting that two rounds of recent indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S. have taken place so far, held in Oman and Rome.
